Devon Vernetti, L.Ac., C.SMA – Acupuncturist

Devon has always had an affinity for the outdoors and connection the nature. This passion led her to obtain her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Urban Planning specializing Environmental Policy. She worked as an international and environmental consultant for several years both in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco before deciding to enter the medical field.

In 2006, Devon relocated to San Diego to Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) and became and Licensed Massage Therapist. Her externships during this time included: UCSD Sports Medicine RIMAC Center, San Diego’s Seniors’ Clinic, Oceanside Family Recovery Center, San Diego Cancer Center, San Diego Hospice and Institute of Palliative Care, AcuSport and Acupuncture Continuum. Devon extended her studies at the Chengdu University Hospital in the Sichuan Province of China working within in an integrated system of healthcare management. She is also a certified Basic ThetaHealing™ Practitioner.

Most recently, Devon completed an additional year of training to become certified Sports Medicine Acupuncture Specialist®. Devon’s holistic approach to patient care includes orthopedic testing, acupuncture, herbal formulas, cupping, nutrition counseling, patient education and therapeutic exercises to achieve healthcare goals. Devon has experience treating all types of pain, women’s issues including fertility, migraines, anxiety, insomnia, and digestive ailments

In her spare time, Devon likes traveling, yoga, reading, biking, hiking and spend time with her husband Tony and their two dogs Sawyer and Zoey. Devon is a resident of North Park and a business member of the North Park Community Association. She is also a Professional Member of American Association of Oriental Medicine and active member in a local chapter of Business Networking International (BNI).
